Recipe of the Month

Tave Kosi
Guyanese Pepper Pot

Our recipe for this month is Guyanese Pepper Pot. This hearty stew is the go-to meal for Guyanese on Christmas morning, but it can be (and is) eaten at any time of the day and for any occasion.

CD of the Month

Our International Music selection of the month is for De Fez a Jerez by Seffarine.

Seffarine is a duo formed by singer Lamiae Naki and oud player/flamenco guitarist Nat Hulskamp. Their repertoire varies from classical Arabic and Andalusian music to original compositions influenced by the music of widely varying cultures, such as Spanish flamenco, classical Persian music, and American jazz.

Book of the Month

Our International Book of the Month is The Confessions of Frannie Langton by Sara Collins

All of London is abuzz with the scandalous case of Frannie Langton, accused of the brutal double murder of her employers, renowned scientist George Benham and his eccentric French wife, Marguerite. Crowds pack the courtroom, eagerly following every twist, while the newspapers print lurid theories about the killings and the mysterious woman being tried at the Old Bailey. . .
